FOLD

A wavefolder. Where the filter takes harmonics AWAY, this ADDS them, by reflecting the waveform back on itself past full scale. A sine through a folder is a whole timbral vocabulary. The West-coast counterpart to a filter.

Down the left edge of the card, top to bottom.

The signal to fold.
fold cvcv
Modulates the fold amount. An envelope here is a timbre that opens up as the note is struck.

outputs

Down the right edge, in the same order.

The signal, with harmonics it did not have before.

knobs

Left to right across the face — the dials in the picture.

fold0 … 8= 1
How hard to fold. More folding is more harmonics — the timbre gets brighter and stranger, not louder.
sym-1 … 1= 0
Offsets the wave before folding, which makes EVEN harmonics as well as odd.
