RING

Four-quadrant multiplier: x × y, signed. Ring modulation and amplitude modulation. Bell-like, metallic, inharmonic — this is not a variant of the VCA, it is the other half of a pair.

The RING card as vimsynth draws it: its title bar, 0 knobs, 2 inputs down the left edge and 1 outputs down the right
RING on an empty rack — 32×6 cells. Press a in the app and pick RING to get this card.

inputs

Down the left edge of the card, top to bottom.

xaudio
One signal.
yaudio
The other. Normals to 1.0, so an unpatched y passes x through untouched.

outputs

Down the right edge, in the same order.

outaudio
x × y. Inharmonic and bell-like unless the two are related.

The full reference — every parameter curve, the patching notes and the worked examples — lives in the manual: docs.vimsynth.com/modules/ring. In the app itself, :help RING opens the same page without leaving the rack.
